SCULPTURES/FOUND OBJECTS 2019
forms create strange associations in the mind of the viewer
Sculptures/found objects 2019 is a series of works that integrates found objects into a series of sculptures that combine into a larger installation. Each sculpture was created using found natural objects, such as bark and wood, that were then bound together by industrial found materials such as screws and wire. These sculptural forms are early experiments in fusing natural and industrial together found materials together. They bring to mind both organic forms, such as a heart with screws piercing the 'flesh' of the wood. These forms create strange associations and highlight how everyone brings their own readings into these abstracted forms.
