the suburb and ... the passage of time

This work is an exploration of the Victorian suburb of Collingwood and its rich history. Drone responds to the locale's architectural diversity in particular contrasting the areas that are industrial and well developed to the pockets of natural environments that are still present.

Drone was conceived while travelling through Collingwood and observing the changes that occur as day turns into night. The sculptural works were constructed using found materials and modulates light which simulates the headlights of a car as it casts shadows across the suburbs at night. These playful forms replicate and speak to the passage of time.
